William “Wil” O’Neal is a consultant for For The Win! Public Relations. Wil started on the road of technology back in 1995 as a lowly Quality Assurance Technician for Geoworks where he worked on the operating system for the World’s first “real” PDA, the HP OmniGo 100.

After leaving Geoworks in 1996 Wil moved on to CNET where he worked in their lab and learned how to write about technology. Once he tasted the sweet nectar of life as a pre-2000 technology editor and journalist in San Francisco, he was sold.

Wil has written for Playboy, Blender, Computer Gaming World, Electronic Gaming World, CNET, The Source and Ebony Magazine (just to name a few). After spending nearly ten years as a tech writer, Wil spent two years in LA as the gadget and technology correspondent on G4TV’s “Attack of the Show.”

After a dozen years honing his editorial skills and developing an impressive list of editorial contacts, Wil decided to jump ship and join the PR world. By the way, he loves it.
